British Powerboat Festival set to make big splash

British Powerboat Festival
British Powerboat Festival, powered by RB12.com, is expected to attract more than 45 powerboat teams from across Europe to the Isle of Wight over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Featuring two UIM Marathon World Cup races including the world famous Cowes Torquay Cowes, the four-day race programme will build upon the momentum of last year’s 50th anniversary event with even greater focus upon family entertainment and spectator interaction.

'The British Powerboat Festival is one of the largest gatherings of powerboats in Europe and the Cowes Torquay Cowes is one of the world’s oldest and most demanding races,' explains Hugo Ambrose, Director, RB12.com. 'They both deserve greater recognition within Britain’s sporting calendar and to achieve this it is our responsibility, on and off the water, to present the best possible show for the public.'

'We also expect to shortly conclude several sponsorship deals and a global TV package to further strengthen the event’s credentials.'

RB12.com is also the promoter of the 2012 Round Britain Land, Sea, Air. With an estimated 50 powerboats, 50 cars and 50 aircraft visiting 12 venues across the UK, it is set to become the country’s biggest ever multi-faceted event.
